God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He's set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.

—Colossians 1:13 MSG

Count on it—there's more joy in heaven over one sinner's rescued life than over ninety-nine good

people in no need of rescue.

8: Master Rescue for You

Everyone Needs to be Rescued!

The Bible tells us that everyone needs to be rescued from sin's grip to get back to God.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
—Romans 3:23 NKJV

God loved us so much that He sent His very best, His own son to save us.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
—John 3:16-18 NKJV

To be rescued, you say 'yes' to the Master Rescuer, Jesus Christ. You say it with your mouth and believe in your heart that He accomplished His mission in His death, burial and resurrection.

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” —Romans 10:9-13 NKJV

Pray this prayer to be rescued:

Dear God, I need your help. I've done things wrong, I've sinned. I need Jesus to help me be right with you. Thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross to pay for my sins.

Dear Jesus, I say yes to you, I believe in your death, burial, and resurrection! I trust in your blood to wash me clean. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life.

In Jesus' name, Amen

Say 'yes' to His mission by being baptized in water:

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. —Romans 6:4 NKJV

If you said 'yes' to Jesus, now you are freed from evil's grip so you can be a friend of God. God loves you so much and He wants the best for you. God's Holy Spirit will help you to be pleasing to God. Keep learning more about the Bible, read it everyday. Talk to God everyday. Find a loving church that honors Jesus. Ask God to help you and He will.

Tell us if you asked Jesus to come into your heart and made things right with God.
