The Rescuer Comes—part 7

Jesus Is Coming Back!

Jesus went up

Amazed, the disciples shielded their eyes from the sun, as they watched their friend Jesus rise up into the sky.

As they watched, he was taken up and disappeared in a cloud.

—Acts 1:9-11 MSG

Jesus is coming back

All of a sudden two angels appeared and told them that their Jesus had gone back to Heaven, but He would come back again in the clouds.

They stood there, staring into the empty sky.
Suddenly two men appeared—in white robes! They said, "You Galileans!—why do you just stand here looking up at an empty sky? This very Jesus who was taken up from among you to heaven will come as certainly—and mysteriously—as he left."

—Acts 1:10-11 MSG

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

—Revelation 1:7-8 MSG

Are you ready for Jesus to come back? When Jesus comes back to earth again, God will be looking for the blood of the Lamb over your heart's door. You do that by believing in Jesus—in His death, burial, and resurrection. The blood He poured out on the cross, when He paid the penalty for all the sins of the whole world. The way to be pure and holy is to believe that Jesus' sacrifice covers your sins. Then everyday you make the choice to allow the Holy Spirit to help you live for God.
