God Contact part 2

God Is...

The loving God who created all things, is all powerful, all knowing, and is everywhere present. He is to be honored and worshipped. He lives in Heaven, but is continually involved in our affairs, as we allow or hinder Him in accordance to His Word.

LOVE
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

—1 John 4:16 NKJV

ALL POWERFUL
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

—Matthew 19:26 NKJV

PRESENT EVERYWHERE
The eyes of the LORD are in every place,
Keeping watch on the evil and the good.

—Proverbs 15:3 NKJV

ALL KNOWING
And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

—1 John 3:19, 20 NKJV

He Speaks

God spoke and the world was created. There is power in His Word.

God speaks through the Bible. He has given us the Bible, His Word, written down by men by the direction of the Holy Spirit. When we read and begin to understand the Bible, we can begin to know Him more and more.

The Ultimate Judge

He gives us all a free-will to make our own choices while we are on the earth. Those choices allow or hinder Him to work in our life. And those choices determine where we will spend this life and eternity—with Him or without Him.

LOVING, MERCIFUL, BUT DOES NOT IGNORE SIN
God descended in the cloud and took up his position there beside him and called out the name, God. God passed in front of him and called out, "God, God, a God of mercy and grace, endlessly patient—so much love, so deeply true—loyal in love for a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion, and sin. Still, he doesn't ignore sin.

—Exodus 34:6-7 MSG

GOD'S LOVE DEMONSTRATED
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

—Romans 5:8 NKJV

FAITHFUL and JUST
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

—1 John 1:9 NKJV

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

This amazing God, who created everything is as the hymn writer proclaimed, "God in three persons, the blessed Trinity." God reveals himself in three different ways.

One God
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

—Ephesians 4:4-6 NKJV

Three Parts
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

—Matthew 28:19 NKJV

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

—2 Corinthians 13:14 NKJV

God has no limits!
